All the details might seem really overwhelming. So, we want to help you out! Here is a Prom Planner you can follow to make sure you haven't forgotten anything and to help you stay on track. Remember, Prom should be fun, and so should the planning, so relax, and have a good time!
5 Months before Prom 2009:
Believe it or not, it's time to start looking for that perfect dress. Leave no page unturned in Prom 2009 magazines as well as online. Look at different styles, lengths, colors and prices so that when the time comes to buy your 2009 Prom dress you'll already know exactly what you want. This is also a good time to start looking if you're on a budget and you need a cheap Prom dress for Prom. Some of the most popular Prom dresses from the year before are most likely on sale around this time, so you can be cost-conscious and oh-so fashionable at the same time!
4 Months before Prom 2009:
Start thinking about whether you would like to go with a date or a group of friends. Either way can be so much fun and very memorable!
Consider what your budget should be. You don't want to spend all your money in the beginning of the planning stages and then not have any left for those last-minute details!
Start looking at all those dress images you saved online and in Prom magazines, so you can begin to narrow down your choices. You might want to ask for your best friend's opinion if you're having trouble deciding.
If you're leaning toward a dress that you think might be a little too sexy or show too much skin for school, check out your school's dress code now so you'll have plenty of time if you need to find a different dress. The only thing worse than not being able to wear your favorite dress would be getting kicked out of Prom 2009 because of it!
If you're a little worried about how you're going to look in your 2009 Prom dress, now is a good time to start a workout routine. You don't want to do a crash diet a week before. Be healthy, and start eating right and exercising well in advance. You'll get much better results!
Book your limo. This is usually the first thing people consider when planning for Prom, and you definitely don't want to be stuck without one.
Start thinking about your Prom 2009 hairstyle. Now that you have narrowed down your dress choices, you can begin to consider options that will flatter your Prom dress.
3 Months before Prom 2009:
Begin your search for your perfect Prom dress! This can be a very exciting experience or a very stressful experience. By looking a few months in advance you will most likely be able to find your first choice instead of finding out the store or Web site sold out of your size.
Now that you have a dress for 2009 Prom, you can choose your favorite Prom hairstyle to go with it. Find out what products you need and if you're going to need professional help to get it just the way you want it. If so, you might want to make an appointment with your hairstylist around this time as well.
2 Months before Prom 2009
If your Prom dress needs any alterations, now would be the time to get it to the seamstress. No one is perfect, and you wouldn't want to go pick up your dress a few hours before the prom only to find out it's still too long.
Start looking for Prom shoes and a Prom purse. It might seem like these things should be last minute details, but you need to know now how much wearing in your shoes need and if your purse is big enough to fit everything you'll need!
Don't forget to buy your ticket for Prom!
Begin thinking about where you want to go for dinner before Prom.
